ODYD is a 100% donation based, volunteer run, military spouses founded non-profit providing formal wear to US military ID holders in order to defray the cost of balls and galas while still maintaining their rich tradition.
ODYD began at Fort Bliss in late 2015, when founders Renee Chapman, Ronya Rendon, Yvonne Coombes and Melissa Riely decided to organize a dress swap among their units' spouses, as a way to defray the costs associated with purchasing formalwear for holiday balls.
Since 2015 ODYD shops have opened up on Fort Eustis, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Fort Stewart, Fort Benning and pop-up shops in Washington DC.
ODYD provides dresses of all sizes and styles, accessories and even some Men's wear.
If you are a US Military ID card holder you are eligible for one free dress and one free accessory from ODYD per year.
Balls are a significant part of our rich military history. These formal events are intended to honor important traditions while building unit cohesion and camaraderie amongst soldiers, spouses, and honored guests.
In an effort to continue to provide the best selection of dresses and accessories possible we are always accepting donations. If you happen to have any prom/ bridesmaid dresses or other formal gowns that you never wear (or plan to wear), we would greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating! All sizes and styles welcome. Also, we will happily accept any formal wear accessories such as jewelry, shoes, purses, etc.
Thank you in advance for your support.
